Five fields, as ZATCA's specification requires: seller name, seller VAT number, invoice date and time, invoice total including VAT, and the VAT total. Each is stored as a TLV record (tag, length, value) and the whole set is encoded in Base64 — the format of ZATCA's own worked example, which this tool reproduces byte for byte.
No. In Phase 2 the QR code must also carry a cryptographic stamp (invoice hash, digital signature and public key) that only an e-invoicing system connected to ZATCA's Fatoora platform can produce. ZATCA has notified taxpayers in waves, and once notified you must issue invoices from such a system. This tool makes the Phase 1 QR code: use it if you are not yet required to integrate, for testing, or to see what your system should encode.
The date and time the invoice was issued. As in ZATCA's own tools, the time is written as it appears on the invoice followed by Z, for example 2026-09-26T15:30:00Z.
No. The QR code is made in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded. The seller name and VAT number are remembered on this device only, to save typing next time.
